A Series of
Discoveries

Two streams of workshops held in British Columbia, primarily in the greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland area, to explore issues of psychological and physical safety as a BIPOC creative.

Systemic barriers have kept BIPOC artists from creating and sharing their work freely. Our workshops answer that: Black and Indigenous-centred spaces for barrier-free learning, community building and artistic growth, and a place for the collective to plan what comes next.

Stream 1

Psychological Safety

The first stream explores identity and what it means to move through the world as a BIPOC creative, through guided talks, creative activities and community practice.

We also make room to explore the trauma artists carry, build tools to rewrite those stories, and close with collective healing and new narratives.

Stream 2

Physical & Business Safety

The second stream tackles the business side of a creative career, with workshops on grant writing, marketing, branding, contracts and financial management.

These sessions give you practical tools and the confidence to build a sustainable practice and grow your work within your community.
